Hosting companies already own the hardest part of a cloud business: servers, data center space, IP addresses and network capacity. What most of them are missing is the layer customers actually see and use every day. Customers today expect to log in, pick a location and an operating system, launch a virtual machine, pay by the hour and manage everything themselves. They do not want to send an email or raise a ticket and wait for a manual invoice.
Cloud Panel, a Solve The Network product, is built to fill that gap. It is a complete white-label cloud control panel that any hosting company can connect to its own server infrastructure and sell as its own branded cloud, in the same self-service style as AWS, Azure or GCP.
What is Cloud Panel?
Cloud Panel is a cloud management platform that sits between your infrastructure and your customers. On one side, you connect your locations, virtualization clusters, storage and IP pools. On the other side, your customers, resellers and admin team get a modern portal for compute, networking, billing, security and support. Everything is sold under your own brand and your own domain.
It runs on proven technology: a Django REST backend, a Next.js frontend, PostgreSQL for data and Proxmox VE clusters for virtualization. Every action in the panel is also available through a documented REST API, so you can connect it to your CRM, ERP or automation tools.
Compute: virtual machines on demand
Customers can launch a VM by choosing a location, an OS template, CPU cores, memory and disk. From the dashboard they can start, stop, restart and destroy instances, open a browser console, add extra disks and network interfaces, and restore a VM from any completed backup.
Your admin team gets a global search across every VM by name, VMID, IP address, owner email or status. Admins can create a VM for any customer, transfer or unassign ownership with a full event log, and control instances directly from the list. With location-based provisioning, the panel picks the right cluster and node for you.
Networking like a real cloud
Cloud Panel supports isolated VPCs per customer with VLAN IDs and custom DNS servers, VPC routers with optional internet access, and IP pools defined by CIDR, gateway and cluster. Every IP address is tracked through its lifecycle: free, allocated, reserved or floating, so customers can hold an address or move it between VMs.
Usage-based billing, built in
Billing is where most home-grown panels fall short. Cloud Panel meters usage by the hour, the way a hyperscaler does. Billable items include CPU per core-hour, RAM, storage, public IPs, VPCs, bandwidth, backups and software licenses.
You can run two commercial models side by side. Prepaid customers top up a wallet and are charged hourly, and provisioning is blocked automatically when the balance runs out. Trusted customers can be converted to postpaid and invoiced for the usage period.
GST-ready payments and invoicing
Payments run through the Razorpay gateway for wallet top-ups and invoice payment links, with webhook-based confirmation. GST is handled automatically. A top-up of Rs 118, for example, credits Rs 100 to the wallet and treats the 18 percent GST separately, so tax is never taken out of the customer's balance. The tax rate is configurable.
A GST invoice is generated the moment a payment succeeds. Each invoice carries your company GSTIN, PAN and address, uses sequential financial-year numbering, and splits CGST and SGST or IGST based on the customer's state. Postpaid customers receive monthly invoices, and admins can filter every invoice by status, customer or keyword.
The reseller engine: a cloud for your channel
This is the feature that turns a hosting company into a cloud platform business. Every reseller gets their own branded cloud with their own subdomain or custom domain (with automatic DNS checks and SSL), their own logo and theme colour, and their own isolated customer base stored in a separate database schema. Resellers can create sub-accounts for their customers and provision VMs, and they only ever see their own tenant's resources.
You choose how to sell to each partner, with three commercial models. In the Dedicated model, the reseller gets their own cluster and sees only that cluster's nodes, capacity and VMs. In the Quota model, resellers share your clusters within hard limits on cores, memory, storage, public IPs and VM count, and you can restrict which OS templates they may use. In the Resell model, resellers share your clusters with no caps but at discounted rates, where you set a percentage discount per resource to build their margin.
Security and access control
Cloud Panel includes authenticator-app two-factor authentication for users, SAML single sign-on for staff, and role-based access for staff, reseller admins and customers. Admins can impersonate a user to help them, but sessions are time-boxed and every session is logged. Cluster credentials are stored encrypted, and reseller domains get automatic HTTPS.
Extra revenue: domains and SSL
Customers can search for and register domains, manage DNS zones and order SSL certificates from the same dashboard. Charges come from the same wallet, are billed in INR, and are taken only after the registrar confirms success, with an instant GST invoice.
One admin console for the whole cloud
Your team manages users and wallets, VMs, clusters and nodes, networks, invoices, top-ups, resellers and a built-in support desk from a single admin console. The overview shows real-time capacity across all connected clusters, including CPU provisioning, memory allocation and storage usage. The node view shows live CPU, RAM and storage pool usage for each physical node.
The support desk handles tickets with assignees, departments and priorities. Agents can reply from the panel and download conversations, and you can block unwanted senders.
How to launch your cloud in four steps
Step one is to connect: add your locations and clusters. The panel creates its own API token and stores it encrypted, then syncs nodes, storage and templates automatically. Step two is to price: set hourly rates for CPU, RAM, storage, IPs and bandwidth. Step three is to brand: apply your domain, logo and colours. Step four is to sell: onboard customers and resellers, and let metering, wallet deduction and GST invoicing run automatically.
Who is Cloud Panel for?
Cloud Panel is designed for web hosting companies and data center operators who want to move to self-service cloud, managed service providers who want to offer cloud under their own brand, and businesses that want to resell cloud capacity through a partner channel.
Why not build it yourself?
A self-service VM portal, metered billing, GST-compliant invoicing, reseller white-labelling, two-factor authentication, single sign-on, domain and SSL resale and a support desk are each a serious project. Building all of them in-house takes a long time before your first customer can even sign up. Cloud Panel gives you all of it in one integrated product.
Cloud Panel and Averthost
Averthost, another Solve The Network product, is integrated with Cloud Panel. The admin console behind Averthost is Cloud Panel itself, so what you read about here is the same platform that manages Averthost's cloud infrastructure.
Frequently asked questions
What is a white-label cloud panel?
A white-label cloud panel is a ready-made control panel that a hosting provider can rebrand and sell to its own customers as its own cloud service, without building the software from scratch.
Can I sell Cloud Panel under my own brand and domain?
Yes. You can apply your own domain, logo and theme colours, and each reseller can also have their own branded portal.
Which virtualization platform does Cloud Panel use?
Cloud Panel connects to Proxmox VE clusters. You add a cluster by entering its API URL and admin credentials, and nodes, storage and templates sync in automatically.
Does Cloud Panel support hourly billing?
Yes. Usage is metered by the hour for compute, storage, IPs, bandwidth and more, with both prepaid wallet and postpaid options.
Does it support GST invoicing?
Yes. GST invoices are generated automatically when a payment succeeds, with CGST and SGST or IGST applied based on the customer's state.
Can I offer cloud to resellers?
Yes. Cloud Panel has a built-in reseller engine with three models: Dedicated, Quota and Resell, so you can pick the right commercial model for each partner.
